What is a stroopwafel? A traditional Dutch dessert made of thin, circular waffle dough with a lattice pattern and syrup sandwiched between them. Stroop means syrup in Dutch. Waffles are pastries baked on a lattice-patterned iron plate. Tips to make it more delicious If you eat it as is, it has a moist and crunchy texture, but if you put it on top of hot coffee or tea, the special sauce will soften and you can enjoy a moist and creamy texture.
